Yeah that's very different. 3DS max is not made with real-time rendering in mind. That and your blades of grass were probably made with explicit polygons, while a game can use a different representation... I don't think there's any useful comparison there.

I can understand it. The RSX isnt a slow GPU at all. While it is slower to the newest GPUs out it was definitely one of the fastest of the generation of GPUs it was released in.

Yep.. Even so. It does tell you somewhat how tremendous a task it is.. and a workload. On the pc.
The grass straws aren't that advanced either.

Were we watching the same video, or did you stop watching it? They only did that for about a minute or so, then it was just pure InFamous kickassness. This game looks like it will consume so much of my life..ahh!

I'm sorry, but a crippled 7800GTX aka RSX is in no way comparable to the fastest cards of that generation 7900 GTX and x1950xtx. It's the weakest part of the ps3 and if I recall correctly, added at the last minute because the cell alone wasnt powerfull enough in processing graphics.

we have no idea what the RSX's specs are so how can you tell me that its a "crippled 7800GTX?" It is more than plausible that the RSX has the same amount of stream processors as the 7900GTX. Also clock speeds are supposed to be pretty good.

And If so did you read the interview where that guy from IBM says MicroSoft Got a Processor that was pretty much the Cell in sheeps clothing?

the rsx is based off the 7800gtx, and yes it is gimped version of it
