The DS and Wii are two of the cheapest consoles around. Of course the recession isn't really effecting them. PS3 is the MOST exspensive console right now, the recession effects them the most. Recession is obviously a very strong factor within PS3 sales although not so important to others.

has anyone else noticed that the sales difference flucuates between 8.8 to 8.15 constantly. I havent seen any significant increase of this margin since the year started(I believe 360 started off at 8.8million ahead of PS3 this year) so I trully fail to see how the 360 is really "outselling" the PS3 now. To me that sounds like 360 sales have slowed to PS3's pace and have remained consistent for the most part.
I dont know if I am looking at the data wrong or what, but I don't see the increase...

Actually, I'm pretty sure the 360 was outsold by the PS2 during that time.

My guess is the 360 will be ahead of the PS3 any week the PS3 doesn't have some big exclusive game released on their console. And maybe a few weeks after each price drop announcement from now until 2011 or something.

The 360 has been outselling the PS3 since the pricecut discluding the week of big PS3 exclusive releases.
yup its more like 2 times since january that it did not outsell the ps3
so come back to us if its not outselling the ps3, thats the bigger news
sorry man 2009 and on is going to smack 360 good, sonys library is to strong, 360 really only has the new halo 3 , maybe a few other small titles, sony has about 6-8 strong titles dropping depending on your game prefrence, 360 sales should be good with 30 % fail rate still from red ring of death, congrats microsoft your sales stragedy has worked, make a crap system so everybody goes through 4 or 5 of them
