What about Final Fantasy XIII in japan? That is surely going to sell a truck load of PS3s fast.

In short: #$%#$% that little white box. That's not a gaming console, it's a toy that husabands buy bored housewives to keep them from cheating with the pool boy.

Or for a slightly more realistic comparision: My tiger handheld toy from 1989 is better than your xbox360....The point, the tiger units (every iteration combined) probably have sold more than the 360...but it doesn't mean that its a competent gaming platform. From everything I've read, most of the gamers out there agree on this point.

So at this point, I'm not sure if your serious or being ironic. If its the latter, well played; you had me fooled.

The major problem here is it could also sell a truckload of 360's in the states.

I believe the conversation was about the year 2009. FFXIII will not be on the PS360 out of Japan until 2010.

i'm sure microsoft will have a big announcement at E3 this year...probably another warranty extension.

Anyways it's close enough and could effect buying trends in the comming months, so I would say its arguably relevant to the discussion.

Anyway.... Throwing out a list of PS3 exclusives and using them as proof this is FINALLY the PS3's year just doesn't work. People seem to assume that because Wii and 360's 2009 lineups are fairly empty now, then nothing will come about. E3 will change that. Nintendo and Microsoft will announce their 2nd half games and then we can say whose year it might be. It's not going to be about how they've started, but how they stand at the end of the year.

And if it all comes down to exclusive games and how much we enjoy them, it's all subjective. If it comes down to sales of all three machines, then Wii will still win. If it comes down to the HD battle, then I suggest the Sony fanboys stop writing Microsoft off and banging on about how Sony has the advantage or holds all the cards or whatever. This is the calm before the storm that will be E3. Maybe we should all come back after that and talk about where we think the games of the next 6 months of 09 will take us and the platform holders!

Yeah a lot of games that have been hyped have done badly, so I made sure to say most hyped rather than best.

Theres a couple that will be good for sure like Gran Turismo 5 and God of War III. Its games like Heavy Rain and Infamous that could go either way.
