So, both Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are some of the biggest RPG franchises in Japan, I want to see what people think it bigger........here are some sales of earlier titles:

FFVIII - 3.64m

FFX - 3.02m

FFXII - 2.42m

DQI - 2.00m

DQII - 2.56m

DQIII - 3.87m

DQIV - 3.04m

DQV - 2.79m

DQVI - 3.19m

DQVII - 4.12m

DQVIII - 3.68m

Clearly Both OWN, sales are huge, but which one is the larger franchise right now?

Also which one do you expect to sell more in Japan or DQX or FFXIII?

I expect Final Fantasy 13 to sell like crazy and to be the biggest hyped game of all time (in Japan).

So for me, FF13 > DQX

As for the bigger franchise, That goes to Final Fantasy also

Oh yea, why did you leave earlier DQ's out.
DQ/DW 3 sold 3.77m in Japan, more than pretty much all except FFVII and DQVII
DQ/DW 4 also has 3.04m.

I tried to look em up but some of them were confusing in the game search I'll look for them now

There a law that says DQ cant be sold on weekdays due to massive ditching from work and school
