That's recently become a trend for MS, but Alan Wake and Halo Wars bear testament to MS being guilty of announcing things years in advance too.

OT: I'm actually of the opinion that MS and Sony have a pretty good idea what the other is up too most of the time. Perhaps they have teams of highly trained spies...

well, looks like this E3 will be like 2007, when Sony told everything that they wanted to show, nobody was surprised in the E3, and the entire E3 was a shame.

They only really announced things too soon early on in the generation. These days, not so much. Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 came out in the year they were announced, same for the Ratchet and Clank games. Uncharted 2, MAG, GOW 3 all releasing within a year of their announcements or just over a year.

I thought we dropped the "NXE is a cheap Home ripoff" argument when the Home beta launched...

But remember, five months into the PS3's life, people were saying the same things as they say now about Home..."hah, potential?" "it has nothing!" etc.

I know, and look what it got them with their consoles reliability and HD-DVD's demise. Both companies make stupid mistakes, Sony decided to make lots of them their first 2 years, MS made a huge nasty one on release.

Now lets move forward, playing great games on all the consoles. And if you dont own all of them, start saving.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

Sony will have a good E3, with suprise announcements, as will nintendo and microsoft.

But microsoft doesn't "take notes on how to respond", all they do is write up a huge cheque to try to get past Sony. It's the truth.
