Forums - Nintendo - NIS announce: Sakura wars for Wii and.....

I thought Sakura Wars was a Sega IP. I guess not. Anyhoos, Words has always sworn by this game, so I agreed to give it a shot if it was ever released over here.

Ok there we go. I guess Sega didn't want to bother translating it and publishing it over here. Thank god for publishers like Atlus and NIS.

Who cares if it's a PS2 port? It's not like the SRPG genre can afford high production values (Valkyria Chronicles is an exception, and I don't expect to see a lot of other SRPGs follow in its footsteps) and there's little to no value in motion controls for SRPGs.

Just be glad that you can enjoy a good SRPG while using Nintendo's uber-comfortable wireless controller and without needing to own a PS2.

Soriku! This one isn't made by Sega. It's made by Idea Factory.

It's a port/localization of an older Sega game.

It's very different from ST3 in setting.  If you enjoyed ST3 then be prepared for a bit a change.

So...who wants to educate me about the series? I hear "Western" and "SRPG," so I'm interested, but I need details to know just how much to care.
