I still doubt it. Sony publishing it for timed exclusivity, usually means they want some profit off of it. The game will not make very much.

This games fanbase has long since grown up and probably had children of their own. Kids today do not know about Ghostbusters, and the adults who grew up with it, don't care anymore. Those people are probably play the Wii with their kids for crying out loud. Sony published a non-factor game. |
Ok I'm not buying the game....But I am only 29 and Even though alot of people my age have kids not all of them do...I was watching Ghostbuster cartoon when they first hit the scence and Im still a gamer......I think your off a bit

Sony hardly made the move just to get a 'one up' on MS. "The game is scheduled to hit the streets June 19 alongside the Blu-Ray edition of the classic movie." It's a business decision. Promote the Blu-ray with the exclusive release of the game across all Sony platforms. As for one of the biggest money wasters, seen as we don't know how much, if any, money changed hands, I doubt it will.

Ok, so say this happens. My question still stands, as to who Sony's target demographic are for this game.
LOL in fact, now that I think about it, This deal could actually allow for the ghostbusters game to actually be released.
Because it will allow income to roll in while removing the costs of publishing on the ps3.
Thanks Sony, from the 64M gamers!

It is weird how much hype was going on with this game before this move....I'm not sure if you were one of the people but there were a lot of people on here that wanted the game really badly. Again, I digress when I say that the game has or should I say HAD a lot of internet hype. Perhaps Sony could very well be doing this to avoid another Atari catastrophy like
Also, I agree with these statements in this thread.

No, I wasn't one of the guys backing Ghostbusters before.
I still see no bearing on how this affects the Wii version, as Red Fly Studios is developing that version. Until someone can explain this/prove that this affects the Wii version, I can't see the Wii version being delayed.

You're still a gamer and you just proved my point exactly. This game will not appeal to the majority of people who grew up watching it. Thats the only demographic the game is targeting.

What is the point?...this game will never hit a million copies sold LTD. |
....dude, its not about GB, its the fact that some dumbass journalist took the time to bash SONY for helping a developer, and accusing them of giving apparently all 64 million people ready to buy this the finger, when MS has become the poster boy for this shit...wheres are those articles for PS3 GTA, Fallout DLC, TOV, ES, SO4, ext owners!!???

Stage come on...buying exclusive rights to DLC in game like GTA4 where 4 or 5 million PS3 cant play it, buying TOV, SO, ES meaning million have to wait full year not 4-6 months like GB to play it, entering the industry to get SONY out of it, afecting millions of people who enjoy there gamming products |
Phire..I think your a cool person...But this is really getting old...Tons of people have brought up the fact that Sony would do this to SEGA..ALL The time...So much So that Companies just left SEGA period....While I doubt the Sony Brand Of Consoles will dissapear anytime soon...It is evident what Sony's MoneyHatting Did to SEGA...And Don't say it's not true cuz It's a fact that Sony would buy Timed Exclusivity and/or exclusivity period
I could give two shits about a DVD. The only way this game would be relevant today is if they brought back Ghostbusters as a cartoon show in regular circulation for kids. Ghostbuster toys sold like hotcakes when I was younger (I know, I had one and had to fight off kids for the car). Put a Ghostbusters toy in Toys 'R Us today and it will sell shit.
