Around the Network

1) Valkyria Chronicles

Oblivion
Burnout Paradise
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

3 great games with different experiences.

If you are looking for titles not yet released, try:

Modern Warfare 2
Overlord II
Tekken 6

If you want exclusives:

Infamous
Uncharted 2
MAG

Valkyria Chronicles
Metal Gear Solid 4
Unreal Tournament 3

Maybe I should rent MGS4 and see how much it can just be played as a shooter...

There's a million ways to play MGS4 and running through the whole thing guns blazing is one of them. But as a TPS, it's nothing special.

Seeing as you listed God of War III as one of the reasons you bought the console, that should be a no brainer. I'll throw in another recommendation for Valkyria Chronicles, too. And if you like Uncharted it might be a good idea to wait for the sequel this year.

So there's my three :)

MGS4, Uncharted 2, MS Pacific Rift/Tools of Destruction

I have no PS3 games, because I have no PS3. When I get my PS3 these are the 3 games I WILL be buying:

VC!!!!!! and the DLC if it's available here
Uncharted
Ratchet and Clank (Tools, and Booty if it's available for DL here).

I'll be buying VC mint, but I'll try to find the other 2 used.

I guess given you have Uncharted 1, then Uncharted 2 must be up there.

There are multi-plat I'd think of getting 2 but because of your preference for the 360 there isn't much point in recommending anything other than an exlusive for your PS3
