that's good. as a mod, you really should uphold yourself to these standards.
the Wii is an epidemic.
I think it was a really good idea that could have been a great game (singstar + some kind of DDR type game) if they had done it well but they were just looking to cash in on some Wii games and it failed. Hopefully they learn from this and make something better next time.
It's $60? I always assumed it was $50 I guess.
But I'd hardly call that bombing. Remember how everyone was saying Brain Age and Tetris DS bombed when their numbers first came out? Games like these aren't very front-loaded when it comes to sales. VGChartz numbers(which are pretty close to the NPD's for that period) are showing that the game has decent legs. I made a conservative prediction for Boogie's numbers by the end of the year, and it looks like I'm in the ballpark(200k-ish). But I thought it's legs would come around the holiday rush period. If it's hanging around this well now, it's very possible that it will comfortably pass the 200k mark by the end of the year. It's also possible that the game is already turning a profit, depending on how much it cost to include the songs. Seeing as how unbelievably cheap Wiimotes are to make, I doubt the microphone is hurting profit very much. By the time the DS and PS2 versions sell their share, EA will have made a killing off of this very unremakable game.

Carnival games is also shit and it's selling above expectations apparently... it is being undertracked by the site... which means that at least one shitty game has been selling well.
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I was not saying that at all. I was saying I actually did say I hope it bombs and got crap for it. Sorry I will have an opinion on stuff even if I am a mod and I actively wanted this game to fail. Doesn't matter though, it's just a personal opinion.

Ignore them.... you're just feeding the fire... Continue with your personal opinions...!

I thought the core idea was excellent - the style, and the playlist don't bother me.
What bothers me is the core gameplay seems broken (from reviews anyway). Singing recognition just doesn't work well, the dancing segments sort of resemble waving the Wiimote around randomly(?) - and most importantly, that you can't sing and dance at the same time.
The $60US ($99AU) pricetag doesn't help as well. I can get MP8 or RE4 for $70, and Paper Mario is about to hit for $80. They don't need to charge an extra $20 for a crappy mic.
Gesta Non Verba
Nocturnal is helping companies get cheaper game ratings in Australia:
Wii code: 2263 4706 2910 1099
So in a summary: VGChartz is happy that Boogie bombed.
Good for me, this will teach EA to actually put production values on their games... and make them good.
