Forums - Sales - Radio Shack to start selling video games, except PS3

RadioShack has always sold videogames... well, at least they do it here (interestingly no PS3 either)

But anyway... is Radioshack. I hate them so much, because when I worked at Sprint, they always messed up plans, gave fake deals to the people, promised stuff we couldn't do, and lied about features of phones... and after that, they directed people at us. Bastards.

Hus its a fun contest. However that is no excuse to be abusive, profane, or for you to spam threads with idiotic banner in a effort to get more votes. Quite frankly show a little maturity. Win on merit not with publicity stunts. You keep making these posts and the forum is going to vote you down as a reproach.

I better be preparing my PS3 for a proper burial, even when about 70% of the games coming out I want are slated for PS3 (25% X360 and 5% Wii). TGS is just more proof.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

That's fair but the context of this wasn't whether or not the PS3 would deliver games that you would like but whether or not it has any serious future in this generation as a real contendor in the console race, if it has any at all? Obviously Ps3 owners are happy with their purchase and happy with the games that are comming out for the console they chose, but that's a relatively moot point here, the real issue is how much the PS3 is struggling right now. Whether Radioshack is a symptomatic precurser to doom or gloom is, of course, debateable, but I can ensure you that the implications of this news item were never to suggest that the PS3 wouldn't have the games that PS3 owners wanted this generation.

PS3's days are numbered. Time to pack it up and throw it out the window.

I have a love/hate relationship with my P$3, but it's a bit extreme to say throw it out the window.  Heavenly Sword is a good title.  Hopefully, Drake and Ratchet & Clank will be too.

A good decision on Radioshack's part getting in on the videogame market and another good decision to avoid the Sony product due to its lack of appeal (God knows they have enough shit that doesn't sell). As said though this won't hurt Sony but that's not what this thread is about. It's about retailers wisening up to market trends, even if that retailer is only the lowly Radioshack.

Please inform me of said window which you will be tossing the PS3. I would like to catch... errr ... watch the ceremony

Eh, enough bickering. I'm more interested in guessing the 14 titles...

Halo 3
Mass Effect
COD4

Mario Galaxy
Smash Brawl
Mario and Sonic (?)

Guitar Hero
Rock Band
NBA
Need for Speed

What else?

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Radioshack is one of those chains that needs a serious facelift. It seems like it probably hasnt changed since the 70's. God its gloomy in there.
I doubt many people will be going here to get their games.

PS360 ftw!

Currently playing..........

Gears of War 2, GTA IV Lost and Damned, Little Big Planet (Yes I said I had no interest but my girl wanted to try it and we did and now Im hooked )
