I disagree. GTA4 sold really good. The DLC was never goin to sell amazing. Infact 1M sales of an online only game is pretty decent. As for the DS game i never expected it to do well but it could prove to have legs so we will see

I think a single game selling 13M copies indicates that it's as strong as ever. Some DLC for a game thats been on the market for over a Year shouldn't make ppl consider that the series is dying. And a Hardcore game on a "Casual" hand held should count also. If anything look at the GTA PSP sales

No it's not dying. GTA China wars is an example of when a company chooses to market to the wrong market segment.

GTAIV is going to outsell Vice City in all likelihood. It probably wont outsell San Andreas, but with the revenue from the DLC (and assuming the higher game price covers the extra HD development expenses) it should make TT more money than either game did.

Well the problem is that after the lackluster GTA4 (compared to San Andreas, and compared to its own perfect review scores), exclusive DLC didn't seem worth the money anymore for most people. Most people don't buy GTA games for the story anyway.

And DS gamers don't know about Chinatown Wars YET. Its legs shall grow. Also, it's a very casual game, and if the casuals find out about this new portable one, it can explode.
