Just because you say it doesn't mean it will happen ...

Any reason as to why they won't?

if it does then sony is in some trouble.

Hardly. It's a slow time of year and it's still $400 vs. a $200 machine. A few thousand below 100,000 is as insignificant as a few thousand above.

All this confirms in my mind is that the time for Sony to pricecut is drawing closer.

You sound like a fanboy, spewing that line.

the average price of 360's sold each week isn't $200. Pro's and Elites sell at least half if not more.

1- You are a well known Xbot (who got banned ALOT), so calling other people fanboys is funny

2- Most pepole buy the cheap Xbox (check the sales of kung-fu panda+Inidana jones)

Pachter was quoted saying the average price for Xbox 360s sold in the U.S.A is $290. Does this answer anyones questions as to which is more popular or not?

Considering that ~55% of Xbox 360s are connected to Live Gold and the cost of that connection is $50 and those consoles are disproportionately Premiums or Elites then people are willing to pay about the same price for an Xbox 360 as the PS3 in the U.S.A in spite of not getting BR, and inspite of reliability issues and inspite of free online. The people of American like the Xbox 360 more.

I wait for about 5-6 angry replied.

It's funny.  Whenever a price comparison comes around it is abundantly clear that everyone only buys the $199 Xbox 360 making the PS3's $399 performance massively impressive.

Of course, when we are comparing system quality, noone would be caught dead purchasing the "gimped" Arcade console.

Wow, my subtle typos make me look retarded...

@Starcraft, beat you to posting!

America loves Xbox 360 more than PS3 and wants to pay more for it because they like it more lala lalalala lalalala. For those who are wondering, my lala is Halal.

I don't think it will drop under 100k this week.

20k/35/45k seems a bit harsh and it would have to be below that to dip under 100k.

After Golden Week, but before the usual June lifts/price cuts I think it may dip below 100k for a week or two in May. Remember though...there were a few weeks in 2007 when PS3 only sold about 50k per week.

I think there is a PS3 price cut at E3 for the Americas, but we'll have to see how strong Sony's financial results and projections are on May 14 first. Not sure that it is in there best interest to competitively drop price anymore...a 2-3m lead in Japan is pretty much insurmountable, and a 5-7m lead in the Americas is pretty much insurmountable as well.

That still leaves the EU/Others playing field...I'd go for a drop there if Japan wasn't first.
