I think it will stay above the 100K mark for this week but im sure there're alot of others that think it will go belowe 100k.  The PS3 has fallen below the 100k mark 35 times in its lifespan mostly in 06-07 wen the console launched now 3 years later will it go back to its below 100k days?

If it does Sony is not in any trouble. Far from it. They can make that price cut whenever they want and given the fact they launched well after the 360 the amount of people trying to say they are in trouble is laughable.

they wouldnt really be affected.. lol saves them money. look at the ratio of games that sell versus consoles sold that week. the software sales wont be affected much they just moved a tad bit less hardware, which they lose money on each on SO its fine to happen every 1ce and a while

Hardly. It's a slow time of year and it's still $400 vs. a $200 machine. A few thousand below 100,000 is as insignificant as a few thousand above.

All this confirms in my mind is that the time for Sony to pricecut is drawing closer.

Not to mention the least amount of PS3 sold, the least amount of money Sony loses sinse the PS3 is still selling at a loss.

So Sony is probably excited that sales are droping :)

the average price of 360's sold each week isn't $200. Pro's and Elites sell at least half if not more.

Having a couple of months of very little new software worth buying/with no hype behind it has made sales go down, Japan has saved it for the past few weeks but sales returning to normal there isn't a good sign. Hopefully inFamous can keep sales above 100k.
