the better question is how are you going to feel when the ps3 is more superior then the Wii in every way?

Except for market shares.

^^^^ I play games. you cant play a market share so that isnt important to us now is it.

And you cant say oh Market share brings in 3rd party support because well all the true games are on the HD consoles

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

If I was shooting a real gun, I would have a real gun in my hand not a Wiimote.   If I want to play FPS games then it would be mouse/keyboard,  then dual analog.  The wiimote may be good for other types of games but, IMO its not for FPS games.  I have tried and it was terrible control scheme.

The wii mote is the closes you can get to holding a real gun. I was terrible with the wii mote too at first. For the first 10 minutes getting use to it. Then with in 30 minues of game play I'm already on the most sensitive setting.

We all play games. True gammers play games. HD or SD isn't imortant to us now is it. But that dosn't change that the wii mote is great for FPS. It's almost like it was tallor maded for FPS.

You must not have held many real guns to say something like that.

I played the first 4  campaign missions in COD:WAW on the Wii, so all in all about 2 hours worth of gaming.  The Sniper Level was brutal with those controls. I couldnt imagine what the rest of the game was like, since it only gets worse at the end

That is a poor excuse,  it is in its 3rd year now.  If the controls were as good as you claim it is, then developers would be jumping at the chance to put FPS games on it.  Plus in reviews, why doesnt the reviewer say that the games control better on the Wii then the dual analog setups on the HD twins?   If it was far superior as you say it is you would think that the reviewers would be able to pick up on that and point it out.

A poor excuse for what?? Just because the wii doesn't have 200 shooters doesn't mean that the wii mote is bad for the that type of game. Nintendo consoles have never had a lot of shooters. If you were shooting a real gun, would rather have the gun in your hands or would you rather use two analogs to control a robotic arm?

Out of curiosity, which shooting games have you played? in addition, how long?

The only way of showing people the relative improvement of the wii controls vs standard controller is to draw a few similar comparisons.

Have you ever played Time Crisis or Point Blank with the controller input? The latter showing a huge difference between control types.

Resident evil 4 on the wii had to be changed and made harder to adapt to apparantly.

The IGN review of RE4:wii illustrates the difference in aiming ability. http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/797/797837p1.html

Another good example of this difference is the power of the steady aim perk on cod:waw on wii. This skill pretty much makes sniping redundant in the wii version because depending on the accuracy of the weapon, you can pretty much hit anybody instantly on screen.

The reason that you dislike the wiimote may be because you are genuinely bad at using a lightgun. This fact does not make the control scheme bad! a bad workman blames his tools.

Well just for this generation you can look at my game collection and see.  Although I dont have the last 2 generations or any PC games that I have played, lets just say that i am sure the number is approacing a couple hundred by now.

Steady Aim is hip fire accuracy and has nothing to do with sniping accuracy/ability.

The reason I dont like the Wiimote is because it isnt superior to the dual analog, one review does not make it true, it just means it was optimized for that game.  If it was true, then it would be brought up in every review for FPS games.

Well sometimes it is the worker, but sometimes it is the tools.  A good worker can only get so far with bad tools.

In relation to this, I was stating that steady aim + wii mote + enemy standing still = enemy dead. This is because you can shoot with accuracy anywhere on the screen with twitch reflexes. So snipers die very easily on the wii version.

An example of this would be that aiming diagonally upwards or downwards is very difficult on a controller, also try swithcing between targets that are far apart with a controller and you will find it very difficult in comparison to a wii remote.

The wiimote does have its downfalls though but these are limtations set by the developers of the specific games, The Conduit tries to nullifiy these problems but even then they do not have the perfect solution.

Over all, the fact that the wiimote is better is mentioned fairly often, for example in the last nintendo ign podcast. Although reviewers are not going to say "this game gets 9.0 and as a side note wii aiming is superior". That would get pretty old pretty fast.

The example that proves the wiimote is fast and more direct is that of the light gun games, people who state the dual analogue is better have not thus far shown any legitimate proof.

If you can find me any evidence that is contrary to this I will gladly accept it.

In relation to the topic however, I would not be suprised if sony or microsoft tried to capitalise on this technology as it would be stupid not to. Both companies would have a bit of egg on their face though.

You're points are very valid, but unfortunately you're wasting your time.  He'll disregard any logic that you might post.  Just as you illustrated with the 2 sticks and a robotic arm question.  The Wiimote is much much much more similar to holding a gun than dual analog will ever be.  Is it the same as holding a gun?  No.  Is it closer than two joysticks?  Of course.

@Vetteman94  :  "Dont question my maturity level, just because I disagreed with you because you tried to present your opinion as fact."  ---- I question your maturity level because instead of having a discussion you simply attack.

I was having a discussion but you kept talking like the entire gaming industry knows that the Wiimote is the best control scheme for FPS games.  I asked for proof,  you could not give me one.  So I called BS and was saying it was your opinion, thats how it works, dont post something that you cant backup with facts.
