Forums - Gaming - E3 -> Who will announce motion control? If both do, which 1 will be better?

I believe neither will announce a motion controller for their current consoles. I predicted this last year, and I was right.

If Sony does create a motion controller, it will look nothing like the picture in the VGChartz news section. That is clearly someone taking the piss out of Sony for copying Nintendo.

I think the 'break apart controller' would be more realistic

Microsoft of course!

Would be kinda weird if this was Microsofts 'breaking the bank' announcement, and Sony showed up with their own motion controls also.

Personally .... I got no idea what they meant and I'm not guessing. Just waiting for the big day!

I hope neither announce it.

If they do announce it in the format displayed by the news items, Microsoft's is clearly the more innovative and interesting.

But I hope neither do.

They've got something Big up their sleeves, I can sense it

I couldn't see the point to this for either of them at this late stage other than perhaps as a testing ground of sorts for the next generation.

I tend to agree with this; since it was not included as the primary basis for control on these systems at launch, it would not be fully supported and would constitue for both, an uneccesary additional cost.  So unless they intended to use a very similar contol scheme for future products, it just seems a little late in the game to institute.

Of course...I could totally be proven wrong at E3...

Sony being an engineering and innovative company.. i expect them to do better.. although sometime they have failed miserably in trying to overdo..

I question who will have what. The rumored MS motion control intrigues me. Only if it works though. Totemball anyone? That game was impossible to play. So if the gesture motion control has been perfected, I would love to give it a shot.

Author of science fiction and other genres, I write under the pen name Desmond Shepherd. The second season of my series The Permanent Man premieres on November 11, 2014. Pre-order the season premiere The Walls Have Ears on Amazon today!

If anything is shown it will be 3D gaming

Although, with the Motion stuff... i think MS version will be better to hold, but SONYs will be better overall.

Sony is innovative? Oh please, I can just imagine Sony's mission statement is "Inspired by..."

I think Microsoft's sounds more intereting, however both will most likely fail unless they are the dedicated controllers for their next gen systems.

Never argue with idiots
