Persona 5 would go either psp or wii. hd twins? very unlikely. considering Persona 1 port on psp i would say that it was their attempt to know their fanbase on sony handheld and possible buyers of future Personas. |
That doesn't make sense.
If Disgaea 3 can be made for the PS3, then there is absolutely no reason why Persona can't make the jump to the PS3.Yes, I know Nippon-Ichi released the game at least in the U.S. but it's a PS2 niche series that made the leap to the PS3 effectively with nobody losing their jobs over it.

yeah but Disgaea 3 is 2d and could be released on all last gen console without any problem. if we're talking about atelier rorona it looks like last gen game as well. not to mention that both are fairly niche titles so they can go away with that, but here we are talking about Persona game and people already are saying that it should be sandbox game.
if anyone thinks that its normal for Persona to go on ps3 then tell me why Harvest Moon didn't go there yet? Persona is simply not suited on ps3 - not to mention that sales of jrps on ps3 were so far not good at best - while wii games with similar sales can bring profit to its developer ps3 game will end up as a total disaster.

You'd have an argument if Persona 3 actually looked good.

Yeah... the real question is why would you want to put it on PS3.
I mean... niche games... on expensive systems is just asking for disaster.
When you've got a small fanbase you want to put it on the system that the most people can bridge over too unless your confident and ready to make a HUGE push full of advertising, top notch presentation etc.
I mean Disgaea 3 performed above expectations but it still performed below the other Disgaeas.
I'd post the numbers... but oddly they've gone missing. Probably deleted due to the fact that each game had multiple entries.
A paycheck likely would be needed as incentive... but even then... risking your most popular franchise?
Honestly i'd expect Persona 5 to go PSP.
