Now I'm not going to actually predict any numbers, but I'll risk saying that the 360 FF sales will be very close, if not a little higher than PS3s FF sales when you don't count Japan.

14 million LTD? Nooo way.

I don't think this will sell more than FF7. I'm not even sure it'll sell more than FFVIII or FFX. I can see this game being very top heavy.

My guess is:
2 million opening week PS3
4.5 million LTD

800k opening week X360
2 million LTD

Realistically.

PS3 LTD: 2.8-3.1 million worldwide
360 LTD :1.1-1.3 million worldwide

I honestly don't see FFXIII creating mass influx of new JRPG/Final Fantasy fans like others here do(hence the borderline INSANE sales expectations being posted)...It at best will do similar numbers to FFXII or lower.

I would love to be wrong though.

Well, consider FFxiii has been really hyped worldwide, and FF is a mainstream franchise and any new information people just get crazy about it. Less than 8 million between both plataforms are unexceptable.,They'll probably make a huge marketing campaign, with tv ads in the main channels in the main programs commercials, outdoors, internet, and all kind of stuff. Common, this is a much older franchise, strong in all three regions, and is one of the most antecipated games of this gen, at least as much halo 3 and GTA iv were...
