Forums - Sony - Why would the PS3 finishing in last place, not first, be a bad thing?

If Microsoft beats Sony, it means their business model will more likely be adopted next generation and for the future some time to come. I don't want to pay for hidden charges like online, wifi adapters, and hard drives, and (worst) then have advertisements pasted on the dashboard to top it all off. We'll see cheaper hardware in the place of lasting/quality hardware.

I really don't see why suckers like the 'get you in cheap' then hammer you with overpriced components later approach, it's disingenuous, deceptive, and bad for the industry as a whole.

Those are optional.

The ads are not that big ofa deal.

@SRPG

Many have tried to explain the difference between want and need to little avail. The reality is that cable is still standard, and wireless is a luxury that most consumers simply do not have. Which makes mandatory wireless a economic burden for most owners especially seeing as most owners who do not have wireless are also the less affluent. I suppose that doesn't click in for people that can spend six hundred dollars on a game console without any games included.

I see no reason for the bitch fest about hard drives now either. You can pick one up for twenty dollars, and ironically that is cheaper then a new controller, or a memory card. Not to mention they are not mandatory. Basically they think they have a point but they really have no clue.

@Dodece, Microsoft couldn't add wireless to the Xbox 360 internally even if they wanted to. The design acts like a faraday cage and blocks the signal.

Tease.

It wouldn't be a bad thing at all for the PS3 to come in last. It has humbled Sony (somewhat) and made them a better competitor for it.

@Squilliam

Your absolutely wrong the 360 shape is all about controlling space time curvature, and thus theoretically could focus tight beam tachyon transmissions. The console is too far ahead of its time so much so that its signals arrive in the year 1980. Unfortunately the only receiver sensitive enough is the venerable tin foil hat.

Non of you owned a gamecube i assume.

The Wii plays Gamecube games, so I didn't feel a need to keep my Gamecube.  I have a bunch of Gamecube games, and a Wii.
