MGS4 has the whole Metal Gear name and franchise behind it, and was hyped up as the last game in the story, and threw in a bunch extra, including multiplayer.

No.....88 on metacritic=/=PS3's first AAA |
Are we going by Gamespot's definition of AAA, now? That's realyl pathetic.
Wii Sports and Wii Fit are AAA titles, and have sold more systems than any MGS4, Halo, Call of Duty, etc.
No MGS is a well knowed franchise just like Halo and GTA....you could make a GTA pinball or Halo bowling game and still would sell like pancakes because of it's name.

No I just go by my own definition that AAA=90+, Uncharted=88, therefore Uncharted=/=AAA. As for your 2nd comment, no idea how that's relevant to my previous post so....not gonna bother. |
That a game does not have to be 90+ on metacritic to be a AAA title.
who cares if uncharted is AAA, the games sell a lot, has great graphics and great everyng, but this thread is about MGS4 and its pretty obvious it would have sold well even if 0 or 5 AAA games had been released before.

MGS is pretty popular
Even with 2m copies, Uncharted isn't.
