Sony really shouldn't have to cut the price. But they probably will end up doing it anyways.

When you think of what you actually get for a PS3, the value is justified.

i think if there is a price cut for ps3 and 360 the wii will go down to 38-40 percent marketshare...

Well I know this. If Sony drops the PS3 to $300 this year and releases GT5. That would greatly help sales but Sony would probably lose money as a result.

I assume Sony is making profit on the hardware by now. But it might only be a few bucks. No way they can drop it a $100 without huge losses.

i do believe it will outsell 360 by land side, and maybe get close the wii , but hardly outsell it, they don't share games like the 360/ps3, one selling more doesn't mean one it's loosing sales at least directly.
