I just thought, with people hyping games maybe i should be the one to hype Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires. I know a place that has a lot of info on it.

Should i start another thread about it?

Let me know what you guys think. Or if i should just edit my first post some to include more about Empires.

Rather enjoyed Warriors Orochi 2 on the 360, and all the empires games are pretty damn fun.

I gave up on the Warriors Orochi 2 achivements though. Yikes.

Did you hear about Warriors Orochi Z for PS3. It came out in Japan and should come out here. It has both 1 and 2 on one blu-ray disk and has more features.

I would like to know if DW 6 really is worth buying? I have read at some places that the game has a lot of issues/lags/bugs. Should I wait for the seventh DW?

BTW I'm looking for the PS3 version.

I used to love the dynasty warrior series but the last few ones have just gotten too bad for me.

I feel like they know the series will be dying and trying to milk every last thing they can by not putting in all the characters in the game, intentionally taking out older features, and then promising new stuff in the next one.

This is one that they need to take a break and make it once every few years with extra extra polish.

Its not like a FPS game where you can change the setting and plotline, its the same thing! Same places! Same people!

I haven't had many issues with it. There is hardly any lag. The most time when i get lag is when i'm using my Musou attack and there are like 1000 enemies on screen (I'm not sure if it really is 1000 but it seems like it) and i'm just slaughtering them all. There is one stupid bug that makes me mad but isn't game breaking. When you ride a horse and are going by a building really close you can get stuck on it. Not that you stay that way, all you have to do is move away, but it slows you down if you need to get some where quickly. But it isn't on all buildings. I think Koei just needed a little more time on it.

The seventh one won't be around for a while. They will just soon release the Empires version soon, and then they will release the Xtream ledgends one. That's usually how they do it.

So if you like the older ones this one is a nice new take on it. It has a different fighting system that i like, cool moves too. I wouldn't wait for Xtream ledgends or Empires before getting 6 because, i'm sure you know, each one can load data form the old one to give you your characters at their high levels.

I hope when Empires comes out we will be able to load data from 6 onto Empires.

Edit: It is also a lot harder than the others, I think. The Lieutenants are stronger than their damn Generals and it makes me mad. And the Lieutenants are everywhere!!!! You have to be a little more skilled on the Master and Chaos modes, but i love playing those modes. You have a new move that makes you flip to avoid getting hit, you have to use that a lot. Blocking is a lot better and parrying is easier.

There are some issues with DW6, but the graphics is among the best. DW7 will definitely be better overall. DW: Gundam 2 is the best Dynasty Warrior game at this point, if you don't mind playing as a giant robot.

You may also want to check out Warriors Orochi Z on PS3 when it gets released. The graphics is not as good as DW6 (it's a PS2/Xbox360 port), but the length, story, game play of Orochi Z is very very good. Koei also claim that Orochi Z has the most enemies for you to slaughter in the DW game history.

Don't get me wrong, I love the series but I couldn't bring myself to play 6 because they took out my most favorite character of all time, Jiang Wei. He is so much more important in the whole 3 Kingdoms era than the games actually let on. It's so lame that they took him out, and it was for no reason really. >_
