Sometimes you will control a cavalry squad or an archer squad or whatnot and you could switch on the fly. It was fun. Give the gundam game a chance. I'm not really a gundam fan either, but the pretty colors and explosions and lasers are fun. |
Pretty sure your talking about Bladestorm.
It's pretty fun. Though unbalanced... and the voice acting may be the worst i've ever heard.

The game you are talking about may be the Kessen games. Maybe i'll rent the Gundam game.

I really like Dynasty Warriors. I've never played 1, I rented 2 & 3 once a long time ago back in 2004, never played 4, I played a lot of DW5 & it's my favorite.
Who else besides me thought that the voice acting in the US & European versions of Dynasty Warriors 5 was funny?
I LIKE REDMOON ONLINE. IT'S TEH MOST AWESOMEST MMORPG. Yeah two people can play but not online. But the draw distance goes down a lot with two players, even on next gen consoles it still isn't that great. Like gates don't open anymore they just appear open. It happen with me a few times.
It would be cool if Empires had online multiplayer and you could fight against other Empires, they really need to do that.
Has anyone tried the MMO of Dynasty Warriors? I haven't heard much about it.

Number 3 was when i got hooked to it. I just couldn't get enough and everytime the next one came out i bought it. I even went and bought the 2nd one but you can't really go back when you play a new one because it feels dated. Even with the Empires games i don't go back to four but i stay with 5. Maybe it is just me.

I'll start--- I like the game because of the history, it is based on the history of The Three Kingdoms and i love games like that, based on true events. Of course they don't keep to the real story and Romanticize it, but i still like it. Maybe even like it more that way. My favorite characters are; Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Lu Xun, Yue Ying, Zhen Ji, Diao Chan, Xiao Qiao (I call her the lawn mower because of her final renbu attack) I miss Da Qiao they should have kept her and made her a clone like the others. Well give your opinion on it. |
Glad to see some gamers in the west appreciate this game :)
I like Da Qiao too. I believe KOEI intentionally skipped Da Qiao in DW6 so they can make more money with the upcoming DW7. I also think Da Qiao and her husband Sun Ce will have their own story line in the next DW. DW6 is too short, and it's the major complaint from DW fans.
Adding new characters and pumping out better graphics is always the biggest selling point of this series. That's why the game play remains nearly unchanged, but this game is still selling.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I used to love this game when it first came out.
But I kind of got bored of it with every sequel being 90% the same.
I don't mind to play it again after so long.
