This thread is ridiculous...I honestly don't care if someone posted a Youtube link...what's the point of a "Halo ending" thread if someone didn't give the option for people to see it IF they wanted to...

The thread title... If someone created a thread about a big movie you are looking forward to and it said "Does not contain spoilers" (say Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, I have no idea if you're looking forward to it or not) and you opened it up only to see someone posting a video of the ending and someone else typing what happened you wouldn't think it was a big deal?
What townmissle said was too much if it was actually true (I haven't watched the vid yet). Posting the Youtube video wasn't a crime or anything since you have to hit play to watch it.

The thread was supposed to tell people if they wanted to go see the spoilers they can, it wasn't for posting spoilers here.
I don't think any Halo 3 spoilers should be allowed unless it's a specific thread just for that.

And the thread's first post would consist of mentioning that the ending for the new Indy movie is lurking about the internet. And then what?
Are people supposed to just sit here and talk about the Kotaku article that talks about the ending for Halo 3 that is lurking about the internet?

Writing spoiler text is bad...but a Youtube link isn't bad...
If this thread is to tell people that the ending is out there, and they can go see it if they want...why not just direct them to a link? Is your willpower so weak that you can't resist hitting play on the Youtube video? I'm not going to click it...I don't feel like it.

Posting a video in a thread is basically asking people to comment on it. How many threads have you seen with a video posted to it where nobody comments on the video? I've seen VERY FEW like that.

I could say the same about you, you came into a thread with the words "Halo ending leaked"-which was a real risktaker regardless of the 'no spolier' mention.
It took me all of 5 seconds to find the video online. If someone had wanted to (and clearly someone really had) to spoil the ending, they didn't need to watch the video here to do so.
I accept that by posting the video here I perhaps quickened an occurence that was inevitable.
