Zucas said: Congrats PS3. Although I must say it is like sprinting past a runner who has suffered a sprained ankle haha. Not like they've done much to obtain it, but more like the other who has seen everything lost.
Anyways though, Sony has a chance to really push the point in Japan however they don't seem to want to take advantage of the opportunity. 40,000 more units sold this month over Wii is a start, but compared to the lead Wii pushed on it over the last 2 years makes it seem like child's play. Sony needs to continue this progress in the market while Wii is down and hope that they can keep it down and push themselves up. Unfortunately, I see nothing in the Sony camp as of now really trying to further this.
But still congrats on second month straight. |
Just because the lead runner got a sprained ankle doesn't mean he is guaranteed to come back with a 100% recovery.

Neither does it mean that because the second place runner found a shortcut, he will catch up with the lead runner.

Of course not, but people do act like it is set in stone that the Wii will obliterate the PS3 once again in weekly sales for Japan.
Just like PS3 last year it has become a lot of "Just wait until..."
PS3 isn't taking a shortcut either. A game company with as many studios as Sony is supposed to do just that, which is releasing titles. The PS3 is gaining ground, nobody ever said it would catch the lead runner or pass him.
A shortcut would be Sony slashing price in order to stimulate sales because they have a drought in terms of new releases.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
