The best option would be not answering the question.  It's an exercise in futility, especially since so many reviewers get incentives to review & preview games positively.

What is most annoying is how so many are speaking with such certitude in this thread, as though they have the facts.  Let's face it, "Which game is better?" is subjective in the first place.  "Which game is better?" when neither game has released yet is just idiotic.

 

I couldn't help but notice you didn't even bother to respond to my point that Infamous is being developed by a great studio where Velvet Assassin is being developed by a bad studio. e.e

 

I don't consider Sony's studios to be the greatest things since sliced bread, whereas you do.  Also, there's no point in responding to someone who thinks that "this is a good studio and that is a bad studio" is a valid argument.

 

 

 It's not idiotic to have an opinion on the information available to you.  Velvet Assassin has already had reviews for the PC version, personally I don't think the 360 version is going to be better.  Finally Infamous has had a lot of good previews and in my experience the praise it's receiving makes it a potential for above 80 in reviews.  This isn't rocket science and I seriously doubt the budget for the two games is even close.  I also don't consider Sony studios to be the greatest things since slice bread but I do have enough sense to see what could be a good game.

You've already said a opinion on a game is subjective so are you trying to tell everyone in here praising Infamous is wrong in their opinion?

I think he's just upset because he wants to say Infamous is going to be worse so badly but he also knows that Sony fanboys have a tendency of quoting people for saying dumb things so he's avoiding making an actual statement by saying this is a dumb question.

 

Nah, I just know that VA will most likely sell 2x Infamous in NA.  So, it really doesn't matter to me

 



Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

They have no idea which will most likely end up as a better game but you know for sure which will most likely sell better?

I don't want to hear "Titles sell better on 360 in Americas" or something along those lines either because that just helps everyone in here with their "Well said developer has a track record of making high quality titles" and/or "Said developer has a history of making bad quality titles".

Personally, I am looking forward to Battlestations: Pacific (another 360 exclusive) not either of these two...

I have Battlestations: Midway and enjoyed it a lot...

From purely a technical standpoint, Infamous looks to be better. If it is, then that's something you can not argue. Something being a better designed game (things like camera, framerate, controls, etc.) isn't an opinion.

You can surely like Velvet Assasin more, but I think you'll be in the minority.

Let's not make this more than it is. This is a comparison between a PS3 game that's been hyped for months, and a 360 game with no expectations. I bought Stolen and Rogue Ops, so I'll probably buy Velvet Assassin without regret. Still, I've been gaming long enough to know how good both games will likely be. It's no big deal.

Infamous will be better. I'll say it now, and a month from now, when I own both.

i just read on ng4 that velvet assasin is one of the first games to incorporate game thumb on disc.

usually you have to be logged on live for the game thumb to appear on your play game option.

a good option imo



...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
