We need Unions to protect it's workfull and make sure that workers rights are upheld. But I do think the Unions sometimes go to far. Look at France, when one Union goes on strike they all go on strike and cripple the country for a few days and every other country around it
.
At my works, the Union defends some of our no-good workers (Dead legs), it defends the ones who always come to work late, dress suffy and always seem to get away with things. While we have some hard workers who never get a thankyou from them.
A few years back we voted on Strike action because some dead leg got the sacked. This guy was a lazy no good bum to be honest, but I think only about 10 people voted for Strike action while the rest voted No to it. In my view and other workers who voted No, was 'Why Should I lose out on my wages for this lazy losser'.
It was not like he was sacked for nothing, he stole, rude to me and my fellow workers and so on. This is what sort of people the Union defends.
