Forums - Sales - why would microsoft pay for exclusives and timed exclusives?

let's say star ocean 4 came on ps3 then it pushed a lot of hardware, wouldnt microsoft want that because that would put sony in more dept?

EVENTUALLY the ps3 will push them in so much dept that microsoft would have a monopoly in hardcore games.....isnt that what microsoft wants?

Because they have money to make money.

So that there console can have a huge load of games and make the other competitors look bad. That's simple marketing and nothing new to anyone.

Microsoft may not be helping the 360 with their strategy... but they are hurting their competitor. That's been their primary focus this generation.

hehehe lol

Buying up things has been Microsofts number one option, look at their PC software, games, websites, etc. If the competition heats up Microsoft just buys them, and this has worked for them for the past 30 years.

At least you said it was a joke thread

They barely ever buy the games. Nowhere near as much as fanboys claim

Long Live SHIO!

If I remember correctly that was their entire reason for entering the Video game market in the first place, they wanted to cut in on Sony's market (games) before Sony made the move to transform the PlayStation into a home computer and therefore cut in on Microsoft's market (OS's)

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

amusing.
