I don't think anygame soon will ever come close to the hype this game recieved.

Killzone 2 isn't as popular as Halo, so it wouldn't get these product placements in the first place, but if it was going to compete with Halo 3 in marketing, it would need it's own varient of all the above.

Sev is in no way more interesting or mysterious as Masterchief. Chief just looks good on a soda can, Sev on the other hand should be in a mad max movie.

Since KZ2 only has marginally better sales than Viva Pinata, I say that Killzone should also get its own Saturday morning cartoon. I agree with the need to market it, though... I mean, they do want to turn a profit on the game, right?

Those 8oz cans of Mountain Thunder you can get at Wal-Mart... They're short, generic, and niche, but taste just like their more popular and well known "name brand" cousins, the Mountain Dew family.

Sev is an almost entirely unmarketable generic midget... That's why the bad guys are on all the limited marketing materials that DO exist for Killzone.

Kratos and Sackboy are the only marketable "mascots" Sony has right now, and Sackboy could be considered a little niche. If they keep running with the KZ or Resistance brands, they need to do somethign to make the main character stand out more if they want to compete with Halo and Gears. Once they do, they can look to start plastering their likeness on things.
