there is a huge difference?.

i got a new LCD A LN32B450C4, i play over a cheap component cable, it's a good idea to upgrade to HDMI?

if so does 25$ should have the same image/sound quality as the 50$-70$ dollars ones ?

yeah change to hdmi...there's a difference with letters..not so much on graphics...u can see component is a little bit blurry...but unless u look at it carefully...ur not going to notice...maybe it's cuz i play on a 61 inch hdtv...no idea...

btw...i wasted my money on buying a $70 hdmi cable....right now i'm using a $9 hdmi cable i was shopping around on the internet...and it's actually better...oh..and dont buy from monster...rip off of a company

HDMI, The difference in picture and sound quality is impressive. Go for a mid ranged HDMI cable. Should be fine

HDMI all the way.

Unless it is really defective even the cheap $15 cable will be ok: the HDMI signal is digital, so it's much less sensible than analog signals to the quality of materials and soldering. You only start losing bits along the cable if it is of really bad quality and extremely long.

The only con of a cheap cable is that it might be more short lived if you keep manipulating it. But since you can buy about 5 of them for the cost of a Monster cable, the choice is obvious. I doubt you'll manage to break all 5  :)

When it comes to games the big diffrence is sound, it really does improve a lot.
When it comes top movies it improves Image and sound quality greatly.

Definately HDMI wire, and you dont need an uber expensive one either.

HDMI is digital, there really shouldn't be any problems with interference. You can buy them pretty cheap off Meritline/Monoprice, and usually places have them on sale for something like 2/3 for around $8. They are really cheap as long as you don't go to a brick and mortar store and buy those overpriced monster/whatever HDMI cables that do the exact same thing as ones you can get for a few dollars.

Yes, use HDMI if you can. Less cables and better quality.

Also, don't buy the $100 cables, the ones you can get that are the same size for $15 are just fine.  There's no real discernible difference between the Monster cables (expensive ones) and the generic store brand ones.

definitely hdmi. It's a lot better, but you probably won't really notice much unless your screen is bigger than 40 inches

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

If you have got HDMI, use it. A $5-10 cable will get the job done.  If you want hi-def audio and have a receiver for that, go with the $15-20 cable.  You are much more likely to find one that is HDMI 1.3 compliant in that price range.

HDMI provides other advantages besides just the increase in picture quality, like increased ability to upscale DVD's and various other options you wouldn't normally have access to.  You also have Blu-Ray playback options that you wouldn't otherwise have, like 1080P/24FPS playback.  Less wires as well.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
