What was the Greatest year in Gaming in your opinion was it 2001, 1998 etc.

anyways.. i think my vote would absolutly HAVE to be somewhere between 91 and 94. zelda came out in 91. super metroid came out in 94, and so much incredible shit came out in between...

i think im just gonna go with 1991 because not only was the best game for the most advanced console at the time released, but also, we had no idea what was to come in the following years: super mario kart, final fantasy III, chrono trigger, super metroid, yoshi's island (1995), secret of mana.. i mean i could go on and on. 1991 was the first of many great years to come.

I don't know I think there has been way to many great years of gaming to single it down to just one year.

Yeah, it's not even really close in my opinion.  Tekken 3, Starcraft, Unreal, Banjo Kazooie, Grim Fandango, Half-Life, and Ocarina of Time all in one year?  That's absurd.
