I think Snake coz when it comes down to pure CQC, without any sort of equipment, Snake is far more powerful
Batman is nothing without his gadgets. He even uses a bulletproof jacket for Christ's sake.
And if Snake smokes then Batman drinks and parties a lot. And he has sex every night with different women which could leave him drained.

He has devoted his entire life to becoming a perfect fighter, I mean how many different styles of combat has the man mastered? They both sound like very great fighters but like someone else mentioned, Snake Smokes. And in this fight it would go to whom ever had the better stamina and since snake smokes like a train he would fatigue quicker and be more prone to making a mistake, and that s all it would take in this fight a single mistake.

Not to mention this CQC everyone talks about is just another form of combat, I hate to break it to you guys but there is no one perfect form of fighting…that is a myth, the closes thing out there is kung fu, but even that has different forms to play off different strength of the mind, body, and surroundings

So its really Solid Snake vs. Bruce Wayne....cuz Batman got gadgets and gear. I'd say if it was young Snake then Snake would win. Bruce Wayne relies too much on equipments.

Bruce Wayne only gives the image of doing these things. If you even notice in Dark Knight, he comes to the party with all the women, grabs a glass of champagne, and then pours it out when he's alone. The above poster who said he treats his body like a temple is correct. He stays in top shape, and the only thing he does to mistreat his body is get it pummeled as he fights criminals every night.

not to mention its more likley that snake will break his fist aganist bruce before the bats quits a fight

I'd have to go with Batman. Those who claims batman needs his gadgets don't know batman. He uses gagdets so he's prepared for any of a number of circumstances. Bear in mind, this means he's accustomed to doing his fighting with likely 100+ lbs of equipment on. Which means he moves like a trained fighter when most of us would be moving like we're underwater. it would be a tough, intense fight, but Batman would come out on top.
