Forums - Website Topics - Tips for a sucessful thread

Some threads I have wrote very carefully have had very few posts. People were like meh...

Some others turned out to be unpredicted smashing hits with tons of good posts

I don't know when they are going to be good, but I am sure there should be some things to keep in mind

Can you, the most experienced thread creators, give the rest of us some tips to create threads people love to post in?

Make it interesting. Look for the most ovverrated game of all time.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Succesful as in quality debating or succesful as in lots of posts? Because those two are usually mutually exclusive. If you want a thread with lots of posts, post any news from a highly anticipated game, that alone is 100 posts guaranteed

tip # 1.

1.words in the title that gets you 100 post automatically.

mods, ioi, gay, virgin, Soriku, Leo, DmeisterJ, Rol, God, religion.

2. Post your thread at the right time, For me around 3:30pm, at least 400 members are online.

3. PS3 vs anything is always epic.

4. Be careful with this one: Threads questioning Wii's abilty to sell 3rd party games. It will get tons of post, but expect a full force attack.

5. Have a terrific OP, EDUCATE us on something we've been wondering.

That is all for now.

Then it has to focus on last gen and before. Talk about the PS2 and its games, talk about the N64 games, talk about the best RPGs of the SNES. You get the point

I was going to write something... but psrock posted practically the exact same thing.

Awesome post!

Use some loose refference in a game to push your religious or social philosphies off on your opponents.

(Christians/Athiests) or (REP or DEM)

And then stand back and watch the fire burn.

The FLAMES, oh the FLAMES of the Fire-TROLLS.
