Forums - Sales - Are there that many copies of Ubisoft games sitting on retailer shelves ?

Ubisoft just released its result (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=23410)

And they claim they have shipped over 2.5 million copies of Prince of Persia and 1 million copies of Tom Clancy HAWX....

Did retailers really order that many copies ?

That sounds odd seeing how much those games have sold so far ( Pop 1.5 millions, Tom Clancy HAWX 500k)...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Around the Network

You are not counting the PC version... both games have one. Plus the fact that VGC might undertrack them a bit.

But seriously... the 3 POP version migh have sold over 2 million ww and ~ 400k for 3 versions sitting on shelves is not impossible ;)

For HAWX... well it was heavily advertised in Europe and the PC market is still strong here so I wouldent be surprised if it actually sold the most from the 3 versions ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I doubt the PC version of PoP sold even a quarter of either console version. Probably a bit undertracked (I could never understand how it just fell off the face of the planet after Christmas).

It's good to hear. PoP is one of my favourite games :3
