Infinity Ward has announced it will be releasing a patch which will "eliminate" cheaters in Call of Duty 4.

The post on Infinity Ward staffer Robert Bowling's, Twitter page simply says "Heads up - A patch is in the works to elminate the cheaters in COD4 on Xbox360. Going through certification now. Cheaters days are numbered."

As and when this patch is available is not yet known.

This comes the same day as Major Nelson's announcement that Gears 2 cheaters will also be chastised.

Well better late than never.  I was unaware of the COD4 cheaters.  What is it that they are doing?  Anyone know?

According to the fanfare for this game I'm sure the die hardz will be playing for a while to come!

I agree though, and people were complaining about GG fixing the Killzone 2 errors which allowed cheaters after a month of release.

It would appear they are faster then we think!!!

i wouldn't be surprised that this patch will be paid dlc... lol
