I`m really looking forward to 299$ PS3 price, then i supose PS3 will move much faster to other goals. =))

Since, today PS3 is still the most EXPENSIVE console in this gen on the market, while GC was the most CHEAPEST one, which launched at 199$.

As long as you don't expect PS3 to get to Wii or PS2 levels, then yeah a $299 PS3 will be something.

Ok, well I think the Gamecube was fail. I think it's by far Nintendos worst home console.

Well, it`s possible in Japan, since just several japanese oriented games moved PS3 to 25-35k sales range. And in not so distant future PS3 is getting FFXIII, then GT5, FFXIIIv and MANY japanese oriented games among them jrpgs. Now, with 29,900 price and possible slim model + colors, i think it may get to Wii level sales in worst case. =)

Europe is already chosing 400 euro costing PS3 80GB over 200 euro costing x360 Pro, or sales are on PAIR. PS3 will do much better, than x360, and with GT5 or bundled GT5 with 299 euro PS3 will make wonders.

The hardest thing is in NA, but we will see, how 299$ PS3 will do there. KZ2 bundle with PS3 at 299$ could make wonders...  Anyway, TIME will show. =)

 And how much did Home cost to develop? Sure as hell of a lot more than 1M. They'll make back the money Home cost (no doubt about it), but not all of what they get is direct profit.

I see this as more of a success for the industry, rather than the PS3, as it shows that the market has grown by a considerable margin.

This generation is already at 100 million + sales (excluding DS and PSP), last generation the total was probably around 180m (just pulling that number out of my arse, 20m GC, 25m XB, 135m PS2). I'd wager dollars to doughnuts that this generation can catch last by the end of this year.

They made 1 mln. just in 2 weeks, and i doubt, that they are not making anymore. =)

Probably HOME had some cost(10-40 mln.?), but those cost are in past, now Home will generate only PROFIT for MANY years.

Also, i read, that PSN in 2008 made around 300 mln. $ profit,
