1. I have never stated that Far Cry 2 was better looking than Uncharted. Find the thread to back your story. In places it looks as good, but overall Uncharted beats it.

2. Ive stated in numerous graphics threads that KZ2 is the best looking game currently out for consoles. However I did state that Gears 2 has the best graphical moment ever. Gears 2 does have the best graphical moment highs, but KZ2 is better overall. ( Nothing beats Gears 2 the first time I saw the underground cave )

3. I put PS3 exclusives down do I? Is that why in the Halo3 or MGS4 thread I couldnt choose which game was more influentual. Or how about the fact I have been hyping Heavy Rains graphics ( and had it in my sig for 2 months ).

The problem is unless you are fully one way or the other with PS3 or 360 people will call you a fanboy. But thats easy for fanboys on the internet to give people that label. The 360 is the first next gen console I have purchased. Thats why currently I post more to do with games for it. But I am lucky enough to have played through several PS3 hit games and loved them I will add.

People have opinions, and you need to except that. Some people have IMO been sucked into believing the PS3 is this all powerful machine that trounces the 360. I on the other hand completely disagree and have always said they are so close by the end of the gen you wont be able to tell. People around the net spout rubbish like KZ2, GT5P, MGS4 and Uncharted beat anything 360 has. After playing them all, and several 360 exclusives. Theres so little difference it's laughable. The majority will and cannot tell the difference.

Now the reason why I havent got a PS3 is because I have a family ( wife and little girl ), I just cant go and spend that kind of money and not think about where it's gonna come from. So as I have been saving for awhile now I have nearly got enough to purchase one. Which is exactly what I'll do because it has great games. Fanboys need to accept the world is round not flat. :)

Btw just on a fun note in my honest opinion I believe Gears 2 looks horrible compared to KZ2. So yeah your right its laughable, But not in the way you stated.

Your point seems fair but the way you defended PGR4 as the best looking of the three games on the OT do make you look like precisely the kind of fanboy you are laughing in this latest post.

Thing is when I talk about best graphics, I mean the result of what I see on screen. Not what has more polys. To me the biggest thing that makes an image or game look more real is the use of colour. I personally think that the mix of vibrancy with grittiness makes PGR4 more real for me. Like KZ2. It looks real because of it's great use of grittiness. GT5P does look to clean, which takes away the realsim look. At times it's awesome. But it's only an opinion.

PGR4's use of grey sky's, wet effect vehicles, water on the windscreen makes extra realism. And they have done the lighting for these conditions pwefectly.

You can obviously have your opinion.  If you would prefer Mario Kart graphics to GT5P it would be fair enough, but in objective terms, I believe GT5P looks the best.  Things like poly count, lighting and textures matter, if still for some reason you prefer how a car looks on another game with less polygons (that is detail), worst lighting, etc. that is your personal opinion and may be respected, but I don't think you can claim it looks better objectively.  Still if you are happier with PGR4 graphics I don't need to convince you of the contrary, I guess, just enjoy it.  

How can there be an objective view on which game looks best? Technically, I'm sure that Gran Turismo 5 is a more advanced game, but does that mean it has to have anything to do with how we percieve it? The best graphics ever, in my opinion, belongs to Shadow of the Colossus. It has low resolution, framerate drops and is run on currently underwhelming hardware. But no game has ever reached the heights of that games beauty.

Graphics is about what we see, and how we percieve it. It has little to do with technical specs or polygon count, and everything to do with how the game uses those specs. There can be an objective truth on the technical level, but not on the graphical level. Because you can measure neither beauty nor pleasure.

This comparison here reinforces my opinion. The reflections are much better in PGR4 on the car. And also the buildings in GT5P are way way way to dark. The PGR4 screenshots look more real in colour. Especially the sky. Both games are missing stuff, but PGR4 looks more real in these comparisons.
