Forums - Nintendo - Capcom tells why no Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on wii

F**k You Capcom. F**k You

Around the Network

I think it's both parts laziness mostly. No part tries to find a solution and then as always games keep on never arriving to the Wii. There's a lot of things that can be done so that Wii gets bigger downloadable games, but no part is willing to make the slightest effort. Capcom has the TvsC engine ready, at least they could be bringing TvsC with different characters or making a new game for retail. Nintendo can expand the WiiWare limit now that they have found a solution to the storage problem.

It's laziness from both sides.

Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

I have a feeling that even if there were no such limit/limitations that Capcom would not be doing this on the Wii.

First, it does not really care for the Wii and seems to have titles on the PS3/Xbox 360 that sell. In other words, they appear one of the few developers that consistently can make money off of going for the HD consoles. Street Fighter and Resident Evil sequels let you do that.

Second, if it can figure a way to release TvC (or some variant thereof) in other markets, it does not want to do something that cannibalizes potential future sales.

despite Capcom shortchanging the Wii multiple times, they still have supported the system fairly well. In fact, I just checked their press site and Resident Evil 3 is listed as a Wii game. No information provided, but it looks like they are remaking their entire back catalog of Resident Evil games.

So it looks like capcom has given us

2 new RE light gun shooters
Spyborgs - which looks like a very good effort put in even if I'm not interested
Entire remake of Resident Evil series (4 out, 1 out soon, 0 out in japan and coming to US, and 3 is listed on their press site)
Zack & Wiki
Monster Hunter 3

plus more, so they actually haven't been too shabby in the Wii support department.

You can say what you want about the MVC 2 situation but I will not let you get away with stating that capcom has support the Wii well. Instead actually producing games they are outsourcing game development and all we get are light gun games and action adventure game like Spyborgs. Their best effort is MH3. Now Compare their support for the Wii with the HD systems and it's the difference between night and day and the Wii looks like a 3rd place system rather than the market leader. Capcom's problem is that they decided to focus on the HD systems and are not willing to change their philosphy regardless of their financial statement, which has shown that their revenue is down.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

The whole iso on the xbox 1 was only about 200mb.

Here we have Capcom providing a valid reason, and people complaining anyways.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

I’m figuring upon the notion of platform placement for MvC2 requirements Capcom composed a reason why it would not be on the Wii.

Upon the notion that Capcom would release MvC2 again people composed “fu** you Capcom responses.” And “Ha, ha Wii fails responses.”

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

that's it, i don't like Capcom (i can't say i hate them, because of MH3)

it's normal not to put every game on Wii, but no SF4, no RE5 and now this is : (

i'm bored of the stupid on-rails RE for Wii

the same happened with Namco, they put stupid SoulCalibur Legends on Wii instead of SC IV, now they make one SC IV for PSP, and Tekken 6 but no Wii versions
(it's not the graphics, it's not the buttons, what is it?)

i have a Ps3 as well, so don't start saying buy a Ps3, i would just prefer to play RE5 on Wii for example

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

a valid reason IMO

If you not care about Marvel's characters.Go get Tsunoko vs. Capcom if you want to play Capcom vs. on Wii ,no need to wait for this one.
