Before this gen started, there were several people saying the Xbox360 might touch 30 million lifetime, if they are lucky. Now they have at least 2 more years and they already made it. 50 million lifetime (2012) seems possible now. MS has got to be happy. The Xbox360 established the Xbox brand in gaming once for all. The next Xbox will benefit from that.

It has officially outsold the Sega Genesis. 3 million more and it will surpass the N64.

Anyone think the console will sell another 30 million? It took about 3 and half years for this and sales seem to be improving thanks to price drops.

You know in all seriousness i gotta tip my hat to MS on their hard work with the 360. Before this gen I was a staunch supporter of Sony and while I still support them and have both a ps3 and psp I gotta admit I've been converted to the Xbox franchise now. In all honesty I never though I would say this 3 years ago but I actually am enjoying my 360 more. The fact that they've been able to do something like that to someone like me is a testiment to their hard work.

Congratz on 30 million Xbox360s and now lets get to 40 million fast!!
