Forums - General - When/why was it become inappropriate for guys to hold hands?

Well in China it's perfectly acceptable for guys to hold hands, walk down the street with arms over each others shoulders, or even sit on another guys lap.

If it bothers you Galaki you could just move,;) China can be pretty cool.

I dunno about holding hands, but for example in Argentina it's perfectly acceptable (in fact, it's standard between friends) that two guys greet with a kiss (cheek to cheek). When I told that to people of the US, they almost called me freak, when for me it's the most normal thing in the world.

So yeah, weird standards

its just wierd for guys to hold hands

when hand became a metaphor for penis, duh?

Because lesbians and the idea that maybe, just maybe, those girls are lesbians is hot?

The same reason cat fights are hot but not two dudes beating each other up. :-p

Only because guys watching are waiting for them to rip their clothes off.

It's not the fight that's hot. It's the ripping of clothes.

I don't think I've ever held my female friends hands. I'll grab their shoulders or give them a hug/cuddle but I can't say I've ever held hands with a girl.

I've never seen two girls holding hands, and it'd be just as strange to me as seeing two boys holding hands.

meh, I hold hands with everyone all the time
I can't be with my friends and not hold their hands :P
