I finally decided to get a PS3... I don't know anyone that owns one and I've wanted one since the time Metal Gear Solid 4 launched.... also thought that the 399.99 was a bit much just to play one game so I let it be...When I saw the trailer for Resistance 2 It made me want it again worst than ever but after seeing the average reviews for R2 I decided again Ill just stick with my 360 was around the same time Gears 2 Dropped and that helped suppress the urges....
In February Killzone 2 launched and it totally pushed me over the edge... was kind of like maybe I shouldn't, what finally brought me over was the God Of War III trailer the same day I saw it on game spot I ordered a PS3 with 4 games Warhawk Killzone 2 Uncharted Drakes Fortune and Metal Gear Solid 4... And I honestly have to saw wow.... I have never been so impressed with a videogame purchase...
Playing Uncharted took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting the game to be as good as it was... I have never in my life seen graphics so breath taking... even my six year old daughter who was walking in front of the TV when I was on the water fall section over looking the German U boat had to stop in her tracks and say Oooo pretty. The game is un freaking believable, the voice acting, the combat system, I own Gears and Gears 2 on my 360 and I don't understand for the life of me how Gears was awarded best graphics when Uncharted was there all along the game is sooo beautiful. the water, the jungle environment, It honestly goes far beyond anything I ever seen before in a 3rd person shooter. I'm currently at the fort level where you have to scale that giant building after the plane crash.
Killzone totally flipped my collection upside down. I read several posts comparing it 2 Halo there really is no comparison there both 2 different games completely worlds apart I prefer Halo's multi player... something about riding in the back of a jeep while your buddy drives and you shoot is just something I never grew out of... But everything else in Killzone in my opinion out shines Halo in every single way conceivable, the game feels so raw and brutal on a 720p HD it looks almost surreal the attention to detail in frightingly beautiful the way the shotgun sends your enemies flying backwards you have to play it to understand what I'm saying the graphics are no joke... I have yet to see a game on PC much less my 360 that can graphically stand up to Killzone 2
Finally Metal Gear Solid 4 the presentation is nearly flawless... the in-game opening cinematic ended And I didn't even realize that I was no longer looking at the CG sequence even when my life bar appeared on screen took me about 5 seconds to realize I was actually in game and that I needed to duck before some massive mech tank thing stepped on me.
Metal Gear again is like nothing I've ever seen or played before. I'm still in the early stages of the games. Its a bit more story driven and I can easily understand why someone would pick Gears over MGS4 seeing as how Gears is more pick up and play you don't need to know the story, you can start on any level and just blast your way through... MGS 4 however is extremely extremely EXTRMELY deep Snake can slide against walls, and his suit changes color to match your sourndings he moves from background to background BAD ASS! you can crawl on your back or stomach its amazing to say the least! If you haven't played Uncharted or MGS4 and you own a PS3 you have no idea what your missing.
There are a few other games I'm interested in Resistance never played it or the first one but the trailers look really awesome... and Valkyrie that tank RPG games looks really bad ass like something ripped straight out of World War 2 Germany I've never been into anime much... and only one RPG that really moved me was Final Fantasy 7 on the old PSX and it remains my favorite game of all time bar none.. Lastly Little Big Planet ..... Doesn't look like my type of game at all, but the great reviews seriously has me curious so I might check those out later.... after our bank account recovers from this purchase. I am totally overwhelmed and impressed with my PS3... I still love my 360. Just Sony has take the number 1 spot as far as gaming goes In our house. Bluray ray is awesome by the way... Even if you don't want to buy a PS3 you should consider purching a blue ray player it truly is the evolution of home entertainmet as far as movies goes.. Anyway's my first post just wanted to talk about how impressed I am with my new Sony thanks for reading
