I was always going to buy it, but now it is a day 1 purchase, though maybe not a day 1 play
Hot damn! I thought I was excited for Uncharted 2 before. Now, I may need a clean pair of undershorts.
Keep this in mind when reading what I type...
I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
thank god that they didnt force Multiplayer into the single player story game, CAPCOM please take notice
"prays for a character creation that has several options to half tuck in your shirt."
This isn't like RE5 multiplayer... right? A game that really doesn't work well with multiplayer but feels the need to throw it in there?
I haven't played Uncharted, so i'm unfamiliar with the gameplay. Is multiplayer something to be excited about and have a lot of hours playing when the game comes out?

Looks like Sony may be able to compete with Gears of War. YES, using Uncharted!

I think the reason people are excited by this announcement is the potentially great mix of Uncharted's strong gameplay coupled with multiplayer.
Uncharted's gameplay is a mix of covering, shooting and platforming. None of which seem to have been left out of the multiplayer shown. I can see it working very well in multiplayer, with the level of interaction and actions available to the player, along with the small player numbers 5v5 and 4v4, making it a very tactical affair.
I'm also excited by the fact that they've added more depth to the gameplay; you can now preform stealth kills, pull people off ledges and throw gas canisters about.

@ dallinor: some reviews (ign, gamespot) do indicate that the level of platforming is toned down for the multiplayer and that the available platforming is often forgotten because of the action - although they do admit that might because one isn't familiar with the levels.
