Good summary of YoY.
Looks to me like:
a) 360 steady pattern of growth in line with age of platform and its library/exclusives - I was expecting growth but not that much, but I believe price and economic situation has given it extra growth
b) Wii slowing but really, as a Wii owner I feel the rate of releases (that I'm interested in at any rate) has slowed. It still feels under-supported from third parties to me and much of its attraction remains around Wii Sports/Fit and the core older titles. There's plenty of shovelware and mini-games mind you, more's the pity.
c) PS3 - what a strange console this has been so far. Big launch, particularly in Others, then huge drop due to lack of titles/price, then a good rise, then hit hard by the economy making it's price look massive again vs the library. Overall it's still holding relatively steady vs it's launch, but brand and loyalty can only get you so far. I think it has enough games coming, but without even a modest price cut it just seems too expensive IMHO (not for me... hell that didn't sound right! I mean for the average consumer it must seem expensive next to 360/Wii particularly currently in most regions)
