hmmmm even with the very likely 360 overtracked data (look at NPD vs VGC last couple of months) the PS3 managed to stay on top for this week. Commendable.

360 was undertracked and then adjusted again, don't you get bored of posting?

You know why PS3 stayed on top and you know next week its going to be bad for the PS3. Bottom line.

yeah sure, that's why this site follows NPD, Media Create, famitsu and other OFFICIAL track companies like the Bible.... sorry you don't like my posting, you should probably ignore me, but since it hurts you so much I might as well continue 'cause you and others like you do lots more of shit-talking around the whole net.

Wii will have a SLIGHT boost when Sports Resort comes out. The Wii is readily available right now. I'm not sure how Sports resort will boost sales that much. It's like more Wii sports but then you have to actually buy it separately. I feel like everyone who wants a Wii probably already has one. Maybe Sports Resort might push those on the fence to buy one......

I think we wont see stellar Wii sales (200K+) until the holidays roll around again. Wii Sports resort might bump Wii sales to 150K in the USA and others for a few weeks before dropping back down to 115k.

How were sales this time last year? I'm quite busy to look it up...

Given the popularity of Wii Sports, the general public shouldn't hesitate to pick up the sequel when it comes out. Sure, it won't be a 100% attach rate, but it will still be high enough to push many consoles.

Remember that in Japan, Wii Sports isn't bundled, yet it has over 40% attach rate.

Na sales for ps3 need to pick up, no doubt price is hitting it hard.

this week last year ps3 was approx 52k, and 360 approx 45k. so that means 360 has bumped up 30k or so with ps3 down a few k.

i feel this trend will continue until sony manages a cheaper to produce ps3 to go on sale.

@the

see above

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

@badicverse

The ads were shown at midnight or later, on adult channels, atleast thats all I ever saw of killzone 2.

Odd, Ive seen them during my tune-in time too, around 9-11 on both Cartoon Network and Comedy Central. That said, wouldnt it make sense it was on adult channels? KZ2 is an M rated game, no?

Good sales by PS3. America seems like the only country thats still obsessed with the wii

Long Live SHIO!

What troubles me from a sony point of view is that by the time SONY get FF or GT5 ready.. M$ would drop the pro to $199-229 or an arcade to $149 that would be EPIC and probably kill any chance the PS3 has of getting near the 360.

wii demand slowing down due to dearth of titles... i bet wii music failing must have put a huge wrench into the nintendo domination plan for this year :)

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

The question is how many WiiSports fans were burnt on the knockoff titles, and will be reluctant to delve into WSR.
