i'm only on soul level 26,not even sure what that means is it how many souls you have taken or how many level ups you've done,

i've killed 3/4 demons and i'm just deciding what to do really like which worlds to go into,do things happen differently then if you do things as real or as soul form

i like the layout of the game even if i don't really know whats going on,i'm one of those slow players that likes ot check everything out,you don't really know what you can kill until you try out a few things

i fancy helping other people out in co-op soon though sounds fun or summoning,but not sure if it spoils your own game

It means that you have leveled up 25 times, since the starting soul level for Royalties is Soul Level 1.

Things happen a bit differently if you're in physical form or soul form. In Soul form you'll get boosts to your attack power the closer you are to Pure White World Tendency and Pure White Character Tendency, to a maximum of 20% boost if you achieve both at the same time. The contrary effect, in Pure Black World and Character Tendency, will decrease your total health to a mininum of 40% of your physical form health.

It's better to play the game in Soul Form if you're trying to affect the World's Tendencies, since each time you die as Physical form, the World Tendency shifts to black, and each time you kill a boss, the respective World's Tendency shifts to White, so you can neutralize both effects if you aren't careful.

Take your time with the game, there is tons of things to learn, timings, dodges, counters, how a shield works better than others for what situation, you'll gain that experience with time.

Helping others doesn't really spoil your game, since even if you defeat a boss that you haven't defeated yet as a Blue Phantom helper, you'll still have to defeat the same boss by yourself in your game.

The best part about royal is starting at SL 1. I picked royal because she seemed to have the most flexible stats. I didn't care much for the other classes starting stats. So, yay royal. I haven't played DS (or any game really) for like a week, maybe I'll buckle down a bit tomorrow.

Yes, Royal is the most flexible of all classes, since you'll have 6/9 more Soul Level level ups that you can use to shape your character in the fashion that you want ;)
I went with Thief, even though it had some pretty balanced stats as well, it started with an already high SL, 9 :(

i hate 5-2, i really REALLY hate 5-2

I hate World 5 in general

But my hate for 5-2 is special

After my first playthrough, I did this - Thief´s Ring and Regenerator Ring. Now only walk in the swamp avoiding all enemies.

Just run to the boss. The end.

Amen, I really don't like 5-2 at all. I'll do the same once I get there again, just run through the whole thing. At least the boss is stupidly easy.

I was lost for 2 days in the swamp, with black phantoms in every single corner

Problem is i made the world PB from the get go, thinking i wont have problems just like the other worlds

Dont get me starting on those Giants (specially the Black Phantom ones), they are the strongest thing i encountred

in the entire game (they make 3-2 Boss look like a joke)

In the end i finally found the way and killed Selen (man she is strong...and cheap) + PD..now the world is white a gain

White is my new favorite color :)

The BP Giant Goblins are the single most powerful normal enemy in the game, even stronger than bosses themselves. A good old dose of Firestorm will kill them in one shot though :P

Good going in tackling Selen, she's a bit cheap because of her Blind sword who does damage through shields, but she's a bit easy, especially if you have swords like the Meat Cleaver or the Dragon Bone Smasher ;)

All in all, after spending much time farming in 5-2, I came to not hate that place, it's a really challenging stage which puts all of your skills to the test, especially blocking and countering skills, since most of the stage you can't dodge at all.
