Finally got my Sticky Compound Long Bow +5

Don't you just love it when you raise your luck and get it to black WT just so u can get pure instead of chunks (which is what you really want). *sigh* This game hates me.

Man, I just had my first "online" experience. It really adds some flavor to this game. I hadn't beaten very many levels so places where I could leave my blue soul stone were limited. Plus for some reason, the past few times I've played the game I've seen NO ONE online. I went to all the worlds on I think sunday and saw one pink sign in level 2-1 and that was it.

Well tonight it seemed busy, so I thought "what the heck, I'll try to get my body back and leave my stone in 2-1." I just got my purple flame shield, so I thought it would be a good one to lend my abilities. I leave my sign on the bridge at the beginning of the level, and sure enough within a couple minutes I was summoned along with another blue phantom. It was cool hacking away with a couple of buddies, makes it a little less lonely. Plus Stockholm syndrome took over pretty quick and I was in love with master, and wanted nothing but to please master, kill for master, protect master. Eventually the other phantom left or died, I'm not sure. But I lost sight of him and he was gone. So it was just me and master.

We are coming up on the spot where we dumped the water to cool down the floor and a message pops up that we were being INVADED. HOLY FUCK. PROTECT MASTER. SOME ONE IS COMING TO KILL MASTER. FUCK. So I'm all like running, like "we gotta go master, some shit is going down", I blaze through the last room with the flame spewing fat guy, using my shield to protect master while he hurls soul arrows at him. Knock his ass out, and ran. Got to the elevator, went down. I was thinking "we're home free, unless his ass jumps on this elevator all assassin like, which would be bad ass......" but we get to the bottom and master spots another soul stone just before the boss. Master stops to summon, fucking master, now is not the time. I know I can kill the spider, but I don't know jack about who is trying to kill you. THEN....THE FUCKING ELEVATOR STARTS TO GO BACK UP. Oh shit master, we got company. His summon fails, and I run into a back hallway with master. We'll get the jump on this bastard. Sure enough, some dude comes down and looks into the fog across from us, I run up behind him and STAB STAB STAB FOR MASTER. I'm not doing as much damage as I would like, but master is circling around behind him while I fight him face to face. He's blocking my shots, but I'm keeping his attention. Master get's behind him and fires soul arrows, he turns around to face master and I STAB FOR MASTER. He's caught in a pincer attack and doesn't last long before he falls before the might of Master and his servant. It was a glorious day.

Then I went and fucked up that spider, Got my body back and master was gone. Fuck master, I don't need his bitch ass living body anyway, got my own damn body now. Either way, it was cool.

Went into 4-1 feeling confident with my new body. Saw a few spots to summon phantoms and thought "nah, I got this" but then it dawned on me "Dammit, I'm alive now. I could get invaded at any moment...I need body gaurds." So I summoned some dude. I'm the master now bitch.

The online component really adds some emotional depth to the game that would be lacking otherwise. I really like it...I'm freakin' paranoid now about having a body. Not used to that.

Picked this game back up after playing Uncharted 2 and FEAR 2 (Had to return it to who I barrowed it from) and I killed the giant leech easily. Going to try and kill 4-1 boss now. So far the only boss that I find hard is the fire guy... I cant even get close to him.

Get the purple flame shield in 1-1, after killing a certain someone in 1-2 anyways. If you do that, Flamelurker is a piece of cake.

I got the flame shield. I got that without killing the thing... Does it up fire resist? I got the flame ring too... I fought him with that on the whole time

Brushwood shield is even better. Pure white or black world tendency ( for the gate at the beginning to open up). Or kill Biorr when you free him.

Man... I think the game is pretty fun but the stats are one of the hardest to comprehend for a video game I've ever played. I understand the base stats but the other stuff like armor and damage I just cant seem to grasp. The world tendency doesn't make sense to me either... What effects WT? and if I chose pure white can I make it pure black eventually or vice versa?

And I don't know what gate at the begining you are talking about...

Pure white :

-Kill bosses

-Kill black phantoms

-Help blue phantoms kill bosses

Pure Black :

-Kill friendly NPC's.

-Invade and kill the player and his blue phantoms( if he has any)

-Die a lot of times in a level (That's for world tendency, not soul tendency)

EDIT : The gate I'm talking about is just at the beginning of 1-1. It's at the very first enemy you encounter( He's behind all those wooden barricade shit). Besides him, there are stairs and a gate that will only be open if your world tendency of 1-x is pure white or pure black. There will be a crystal lizard and 3 black phantoms slaves ( More dmg and more health). You carry on and you'll get 6 black phantoms slaves. You carry on to a door and in the corner, there will be Executioner Miralda( It will appear as a living body if your world tendency is pure white, she will appear as a black phantom if your world tendency is pure black (You'll also get Guilottine Axe if you kill her in pure black WT)) Be wary though, do not dash at the entrance because there will be a fall( slippery slope that will make you fall and die). Instead, turn to where Miralda was and there will be stairs and so on....Climb down the ladder and you'll find a dead body that has brushwood armors and shield. At that very place( Not where the body is, but if you look up, you can see a dead body hanging on to a wooden edge), you'll also find a Colorless Demon's Souls(make sure you have Evacuate miracle if you ever go for the colorless demon's souls). Colorless Demon's souls are important. They can upgrade unique weapons( Only blacksmith Ed will upgrade important weapons as well as give you various options of the way you want the weapon to be, he's at 2-1) and if you get 3, you'll unlock a miracle from Saint Urbain(you can rescue him at 4-2, when Patches the Hyena kicks you in the hole)
