My main issue was that the dragon returns in 1-2 and prevents you from backtracking through the level, so once you get to certain points you can only keep pushing forward.

That'll only change when I either 1. figure out how to open that damn gate underground so I can exit through the tunnel, 2. beat the boss, opening up a new Nexus portal at the end of the area, negating the need to backtrack, or 3. kill the dragon, but that'll take 100+ arrows from what I hear, and those things cost 20 Souls a piece.

Well, if only I had the souls to buy more armor. I may go through 1-1 again to buy some.

Careful with heavy armor. If you exceed a certain amount of your load/equip with armor you are heavily slowed. For example, im a royal and if I try to wear a plate chest piece, i can hardly move around, and my rolls are hilarious because they're so slow. I forget exactly what the formula to figure out if you are overburdened. I'll see if i can find out.

no way to sell things. make sure you give items you're not using to stockpile thomas. what's your starting armor?

hehe. my royal is actually level 40 and i'm using mostly leather because it beats my starting armor while still being light enough to use. anyhow, check out the link here to see the weight differences between armors. you may be able to use plate gloves or a plate helm because they don't add much weight, but full plate will certainly overburden you.
