Egypt (with no reported cases of the flu) has decided to slaughter all of the pigs as a "general health measure". Honestly they are just being stupid and will cause a lot of food shortages for the area.

I read that last week and almost had a brain anurism (sp) from pure stupidity.  How could people in positions of political power due something so irrational. 

People really need to learn to not let the media decide what you get riled up about.  It is just a regular Flu that you are more susceptible to get due to your system not being ready for it before hand.  If you get it you'll be fine, just deal with it how you do any Flu.

my wife told me about it yesterday so I looked it up today. Also, I agree with you 100%. I mean, the government is "compensating" them for their loss, but unless they are giving them enough money for all the profit they would have made this year, plus enough to buy full grown hogs for the next year they will be worse off in the end. I'm betting they are just paying market value for the hogs but aren't compensating for the loss in ability to breed more.

I have influenza A, the type of flu I have is unknown at the moment, H1N1 is categorized under influenza A.

Its funny, the doctors have completely isolated me from school for 5 days, Im not dying or anything, just a cold.

on the plus side you can visit vgc a lot more over the next week or so, lol.
