my wife told me about it yesterday so I looked it up today. Also, I agree with you 100%. I mean, the government is "compensating" them for their loss, but unless they are giving them enough money for all the profit they would have made this year, plus enough to buy full grown hogs for the next year they will be worse off in the end. I'm betting they are just paying market value for the hogs but aren't compensating for the loss in ability to breed more.
