Forums - General - Are you afraid of death and what comes after or just of how you are going to die?

Well as I am a religious person I tend to be afraid of what’s going to come after as I really don’t want to end up in hell.

And yes thinking of how you are going to die is not fun. Think about burning slowly, drowning or maybe crushed. Or tickled to death :-S

The human being is a fragile creature and we can die easily…

Post what you feel about death and if you have a “worst way of dieing” fantasy.

Life is beautiful, death is peaceful, it's the transition that's a bitch. Who doesn't worry at least a little about the circumstances of their death?

But death itself? Not worried in the least. I'm an atheist and I think that one simply ceases to exist. For some that's a terrifying notion, but as Mark Twain put it (roughly, paraphrased) I was dead for billions of years before I was born, and it didn't inconvenience me in the slightest. I don't fear the 14 billion years that I wasn't here until now, why would I fear the next 14 billion years after?

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I hate death. Not just the process of dying but the termination of life.

Hmm life is not always beautiful not for all of us (not that I have a bad life). But there are those who seek death because they just don’t think life is beautiful as you put it.

The transition is not always bad as well as you can die wile being in bed and you won’t feel a thing as your “battery life” has ended, your time is up.

As for what Mark Twain said how did he know that he lived before he died?

I'm an atheist so I believe there is noting after life, that doesn't mean I don't hope there to be something. That's why I'm kinda curious to death, just to see if there is something.

Worst way of dieing is either drowning or burning. Fire or water :P

death? no
what comes after? yes :S

Well yeah, death is not frightening, dying is though. I really hope to just die in my sleep or from instant and unexpected death.
I came up with that as early as 3-4 y/o because I was permanently sick, so I used to repeat that and freak out my parents. Still a good wish to this day.

I don't believe there is anything after death, sometimes I think I'd love to be proven wrong.

Hmm I do believe there is a life after but of course no one can prove it neither can one prove that there is nothing after death. One just has to believe as for me at least it would seem pointless to even exist…

I believe Life is pointless, but you yourself is the one to make reason in your life.
