Life is beautiful, death is peaceful, it's the transition that's a bitch. Who doesn't worry at least a little about the circumstances of their death?

But death itself? Not worried in the least. I'm an atheist and I think that one simply ceases to exist. For some that's a terrifying notion, but as Mark Twain put it (roughly, paraphrased) I was dead for billions of years before I was born, and it didn't inconvenience me in the slightest. I don't fear the 14 billion years that I wasn't here until now, why would I fear the next 14 billion years after?

Hmm life is not always beautiful not for all of us (not that I have a bad life). But there are those who seek death because they just don’t think life is beautiful as you put it.

The transition is not always bad as well as you can die wile being in bed and you won’t feel a thing as your “battery life” has ended, your time is up.

As for what Mark Twain said how did he know that he lived before he died?
